Marc Allen Mobley (Member of Poway Cruisers)
Long-time Poway resident and cherished husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Marc Allen Mobley, died on April 26, 2011. He was 53.
Marc was born October 18, 1957, in San Luis Obispo to Allen and
Barbara ( Wilson ) Mobley. Soon the family moved to Santa
Barbara where Marc attended San Marcos High School . He loved
ocean fishing and learning the ins and outs of the internal
combustion engine.
Marc served in the United States Army both here in the States
and in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1979 and moved to
San Diego . He met his wife in Del Mar where they shared their
first date – dinner prepared by Marc at the family owned The
Beef Shoppe. They married in Solana Beach in 1981. His passion
for cars led him to become a mechanic first, and then a restorer
and collector of classic automobiles. In 1988, he moved his
family to Poway . He enjoyed the simple, nostalgic side of life,
family camping trips, sitting with friends at the local cars
shows, and was always happy to stop and lend a hand.
In 1991, Marc became the recipient of a liver transplant at UCLA
Medical Center . He was so grateful for this amazing gift and
lived his life with strength and joy in honor of his second
chance. Marc's family and friends feel very blessed to have been
a part of his special life.
Marc is survived by his loving family: cherished wife of 29
years, Tammie; son, Allen; daughter, Mishelle (Kyle) Raby;
grandsons, Rylie and Damian; father, Allen Mobley; sisters,
Melinda (Steve) Smith, Cindy (Tony) Gleason, Lisa, Kathy (Randy)
Stratton, and Jennifer Mobley; aunt, Denise ( Robert ) Peters;
uncle, Larry Mobley; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marc will be buried at Miramar National Cemetery .

The Little Guys lose one of our own.
The Little Guys are heartbroken to report that our own Sandra Heiss passed on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Sandra and Jerry Heiss are true friends to all of us in The Little Guys. They are also members of The Over The Hill Gang and have been close friends for many years. Sandra chaired the Fall Mountain Run several years and served on numerous committees. She is our current Vice President and Parliamentarian and couldn't say "no" to anyone asking for help with any project. I have so many great memories of time spent with Sandra and Jerry; Cruisin Grand, Fall Mountain Runs, dinners, club functions and cruises. Our hearts go out to Jerry and his family for this huge loss.
Sandra we all love you and will miss you.

Letter from Jerry Heiss
June 19, 2009
Dear Tim:
You asked me to let you know if we decided to have a Celebration of Life for Sandra. Shelly and I, after consulting with some close friends and in keeping with Sandra’s wishes, have decided to have a small intimate gathering of family and close friends. I know that all of “The Little Guys” wish us the best as we struggle with our loss. Please let them know that Shelly and I appreciate their support and prayers. In the mean time, if the club or any members would like to do so, a small donation in Sandra’s name to either The American Cancer Society or The American Diabetes Society would be a wonderful tribute.
Sincerely,
Jerry Heiss
