What a great night for all.  There were about 25 cars from the 20s through the 60s, with street rods, muscle cars, trucks, sleds, convertibles, fins, flames and all looking good.  The lighting outside was via sodium filled lamps (ugly orange ones) which made it really difficult to take a decent photo. The Little Guys were represented by Doug & Cindy Jones with their 56 Chevy panel, Tim & Jackie Held in their 40 Chevy sedan, Gerry & Barbara Fleming in the 55 Bel Air, John & Linda Wilkinson brought their 65 Mustang convertible and Bonnie and Terry Newman were present in their 50 Studebaker pickup.  Inside was plenty of great entertainment, food and super raffle prizes.  Several stars from the good old days were there including Connie Stevens & Robert Conrad.  Dee Dee Phelps of Dick & Dee Dee fame, was there with her new singing partner and they had everyone up and dancing and singing along with the oldies.  Dee Dee also brought Deke and the Blazers, an acapella Doo Wop group that had some of their CDs for sale (I got mine).  They're 4 old guys who love to sing, but just recently started performing  as a group.  J. D. Crawford pleased the crowd with some great music, along with several other groups and individuals.  Uniformed members of the USMC and US Army were present in dress uniforms to the delight of everyone and I think these American Heroes will have sore shoulders from all the handshakes and back pats from the crowd.  It was an all you can eat buffet with hot dogs, burgers, beans, macaroni salad, cookies and soft drinks, plus a fully stocked bar.  Lots of people were dressed in 50s costumes and there were senior citizens in poodle skirts and saddle shoes everywhere you looked.  All the fun was for an excellent cause, to support the Wounded Warrior Foundation, which aids our wounded heroes from Afghanistan and Iraq.
