West Coast Tire & Transmission
The Club made a visit to West Coast Tire and Transmission on April 27th of this year. Within a couple days Mike Coffin took his new Nova in for an upgrade on the brakes. Mike was so happy with the work they performed he recommended them to other members. I took my '50 Studebaker in and they aligned the front end to perfection, repaired all the leaks in the transmission and adjusted it so that it shifts like a dream and remounted the rear end properly. I am also delighted with the work they performed and how reasonable their prices are. Jim Gerrard had his TurnKey LS1 installed by Scott and the guys at West Coast, Norm has taken in his Mustang, Ranchero and '52 Chevy for work and raves about the service. Keith had them work on his '46 Ford and Frank has his '47 Chevy panel there getting the power steering fixed. Real soon, Red is taking his '29 Model A sedan in for a front end alignment. There are lots more Little Guys who have taken their cars to the gang at West Coast Tire & Transmission. These guys really know their old cars and can fix just about anything. If you need a shop that is honest, fair and knows their old cars, give West Coast a try. Ask any of the Little Guys about them.

Joe Walls took his beautiful black '33 Ford sedan to West Coast and had a bunch of improvements made on the car. Ask Joe next time you see him how happy is is with the work. As I type this, Stan & Emily's new '66 Mustang is in the shop having all sorts of things fixed to make it a safe reliable car.
What a great visit to our old friends at West Coast Tire & Wheel, wait, make that West Coast Tire & Transmission. Gary & Cliff from Waltbuilt Transmission have joined the family at the new and improved West Coast Tire & Transmission. Scott gave us the red carpet tour of the shop and made us all feel like family. In fact we learned that our own Henry and Gary are actually cousins-in-law, and Gary even dated Henry's sister back in Wisconsin many years ago. Henry moved to California and was looking for a shop to repair his transmission. All his friends told him to go to Waltbuilt and he was very happy with the work and surprised to find Gary working there. West Coast can do just about anything you need done on your project car or your daily driver. Tires, wheels of course; brakes, suspension absolutely; but did you know they also have one of the best old school body men in the business? Don can fabricate, fix bent or damaged sheet metal, and lots of old school skills that are so rare these days. He also paints and is a machinist. Scott is the area rep for Hot Rod Air and can install it in just about any car you have. They also do engine swaps and are the main source of installations for TurnKey Engines. Just about anything but upholstery can be done at West Coast. They are old school and do outstanding work for very reasonable prices. Scott and his crew love their work and it shows. Check out some of the projects they have in the shop.
Matt Colvin of Snap-on Tools is at the shop every evening and will treat you fair and square on any Snap-on products that you might need. All Snap-on tools are the finest quality and guaranteed for life.
