Silverado Encinitas Friday June 18th, 11am to 2pm, the Little Guys returned to Silverado.  This is always a fun event and each year it gets better.  The staff at Silverado go the extra distance to treat their residents with love and respect, and make everyone feel extra welcome.  It was so cool seeing old friends and make some new ones too.  Dancing to the great music of Musicstation, I had to keep reminding myself there were just two of them, as they performed some of the best music ever written.

Silverado invited Leo Macaluso and his wife with their really cool Gelato freezer providing great tasting Gelato to all the residents and Little Guys.  The Macaluso's brought their Gelato machine in their beautiful '61 Corvair truck and also brought their really clean '69 Firebird convertible with them to the event.  I made sure they had information about the club and even a membership application before they left.

The staff was dressed in '50s attire and were great, one of the Janelles even had on roller skates with pink wheels.  Burgers, dogs, beans, potato salad, chips and pickles were prepared to perfection and everyone had plenty to eat and drink.  It was so rewarding to the Little Guys to see the enjoyment on the faces of the residents and their families when they checked out our cars.  Can't wait until next years event.

Staff was passing out hats for the residents and event let the Birthday Boy Norm, wear one of the hats.  What great folks they are at Silverado.

Check out the video that Silverado did at last years show.
