This month we visited SOS Customz & SOS Upholstery.  These guys and gals do an awesome job with all phases and all types of cars, boats and furniture.  Sandra Valencia runs the family business with help from her son's Oscar and Saul (hence the S.O.S. in the name).  Everyone was very impressed with the quality of workmanship and materials, as well as the knowledge of everyone there.  Sandra has enlisted the entire family in the business and heads up quality control making sure that every product is the finest quality or it doesn't leave the shop.  They not only do upholstery, but paint and body work too.

One of the project is Saul's 69 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible. Saul has replaced panels and is doing a frame off and installing a 455 Olds motor.

Here is the 455 that will go into the Cutlass.

Tim checks out the progress on a '59 Ford convertible being completely restored.

Harry taking a peek at the '59 Ford.

John listens to Saul explain tuck and roll.

Stiching the tuck and roll leather.

Perfectly straight seems in the beautiful leather seat.

Saul telling us about the process.

Explaining how the foam is replaced and attached to the reconditioned springs.

Oscar shows some of the members the difference between leather and high quality vinyl.

Everyone was very interested to hear what Saul and Oscar had to say.

Taking a closer look at the quality work.

Saul talks about different density and thickness of foam.

Norm points out to Howard how straight the seems are.

Sandra was a most gracious hostess and knowledgable about all phases of car restoration. If you can tell them what you want, they can do it.
