Pacific Place Retirement Community
November 21, 2009
The staff of Pacific Place Retirement Community invited the Little Guys to present a car show to accompany their open house. We had about 25 cars attend the show and everyone had a great time. Several prospective members and guests joined with our group for the show. The National President of the Studebaker Drivers Club Mimi Halgren and her husband Bob, Local Chapter President, brought their too cool supercharged Studebaker wagon on their way to their meeting at the Steam & Gas Museum. Prospective member Smitty drove his '37 Plymouth woody and it is a beauty. He also is quite the wood carver and had some hand carved surfing penguins with him that he displayed with the vehicle. They are for sale and absolutely fantastic Christmas gifts. Possible perspective members Roger & Gail Dannen were there with their RED, RED, RED '46 Ford Coupe. Possible perspective member Bob Erickson and his wife and grandson were in attendance with their really cool '32 Ford pickup. Terry La Croix came by to tell us he wants to become active with the club again and still has his GT350 Mustang. Several other couples introduced themselves and took applications. All in all, it was a great time, weather was perfect and there was even dance music with some songs from the 40s and 50s. Several members won raffle prizes, Keith Hall won a $50 gift certificate and Diane Phillips won a $50 gas card.
