San Marcos Chicken Pie Shop
For our June '07 meeting we met at San Marcos Chicken Pie shop. We had 45 members and guests and about 20 cars, far and away the biggest group present at the event. I had requested the front room for our meeting more than 6 weeks prior to the run and reminded Arthur each Tuesday night . On the night of our meeting we had set up in the front room and were told we would have to give up the room so that the PT Cruiser Club could have the room. They had about 9 people and 5 door slammers, but Arthur had promised us free soda's if we would give up the room. Our waiter was one of the rudest people I have ever met and he took forever to take our orders and complained about how tough it was to handle such a large group. When I finally got my bill he had not only charged us for our drinks, but added an 18% tip to the check. Since it was time for the drawing I didn't look at the bill, but just paid it and despite his lousy service (never got my drink refilled all night) I left a tip on top of the 18% he had included with the bill. So, what should have cost about $18 cost me $30.
