Anderson's Nursery

Hamburger Factory

August 16, 2009

Another fun event planned by Dianne Stansell.  We first met at the Money Pit for breakfast and then off to North County Faire Penny's parking lot.  We met some very nice people in a Mustang and T-Bird convertibles in the parking lot who were heading for Julian for the day.  Next it was off the Anderson's Nursery in Poway where Walter was there to greet us.  He even drove his beautiful 56 Ford pickup truck (see the blue one below in the photos).  Our tour guide Emily was a nice as anyone could be and really knows her products.  We had the red carpet tour of the facility including the coolest train layout you have ever seen.  Next we gathered in the shade and made cactus plant miniature gardens, complete with "Route 66" highway signs and little cars (we are the Little Guys).  We then proceeded to the Hamburger Factory for a great lunch and a walk around the park.  Everyone had a great time, we got to see Sammie and Nick again, which is always great and even Megan and Kevin came along in Dianne's Mustang.
