Fall Mountain Run #26

November 8, 2009

The 26th Fall Mountain Run started at the Money Pit in San Marcos at 7:00.  A group of Little Guys and guests treated themselves to a huge breakfast and some great conversation at the Money Pit, 1360 East Mission, San Marcos.  The portions were huge, great tasting and very inexpensive.  We then caravanned over to Dalton's Roadhouse where most of the Fall Mountain Runs have started from and met with a number of Over-the-Hill-Gang and Poway Cruisers.  Dewey Smith lead the group out of Dalton's parking lot and down to South Escondido to take Highland Valley Road to Ramona and then on to Dudley's Bakery, where everyone stretched their legs and emptied their bladders.  Most got in line and bought goodies to snack on and to take home.  We then drove up to Julian and found a bunch of parking spaces together and set off on our adventures in Julian.  As we were walking out of the parking lot, the Corvette Club showed up and were a little disappointed there weren't any parking spaces left.  (You snooze, you lose.)  We toured many of the shops and visited a craft faire before stopping at Mom's for some great apple pie.
