Mountain Run #29
November 4, 2012
We will depart from
The Money Pit 1360 East
Mission, San Marcos at 9:00 AM so be there in time to meet with
old friends and new for a great day. Come hungry and join
us for a no host breakfast. Great food, huge portions and
low prices at this great car themed restaurant.
We plan to do the 2011 Fall
Mountain Run just like we did in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. There is no charge
to participate, it is open to anyone who would like to drive
their car or truck on a scenic road trip from San Marcos to
Julian. When you get to Julian you are on your own, have
lunch in one of the historic restaurants, grab some pie at
Mom's, tour the old gold mine, ride one of the horse drawn
carriages, visit the many specialty shops and check out all the
cool cars parked all over town. Don't forget to stop at
Dudley's on the way up the mountain and get some of their great
bread and visit their gift shop.

Dear
Webmaster, I need your help! My name is Ren Neville and
my 1972 Pontiac Ventura was stolen out of my garage on 12-21-11
in the early AM. I would appreciate your sending this post to
your membership and anyone else that you think might help should
one spot the car or a similarity. I live in a gated community
with hourly patrols. The thieves somehow gained entrance through
the owner activated gates and avoided the patrols. Behind my
Ventura in the driveway was my El Camino. The thieves broke the
steering column, broke the glove box, gained access to my garage
opener, pushed the El Camino into the street then removed the
Ventura from the garage. I doubt very seriously that the subject
car is in my area now so if you see any resemblance I'd
appreciate your advising me either by phone or by email:

help as I doubt very seriously that my car is still in the East
Bay, Brentwood area. The following information is furnished for
your consideration. Brentwood CA. Police report is number
11005247. Responding officer is Aaron Peachman #478. Non

California car license plate number if not changed is 5YOR757.
My telephone
number 925-392-8536. If you spot any “Huggin Orange” Pontiac
Ventura's or a Ventura that you suspect might have been altered,
or know of one being altered, or notice one being advertised in
your local paper, I'd appreciate your cooperation. I would ask
that you to try and identify any distinguishing features and
call me directly or snap a few photo's with your Cell phone and
forward them to me for identification. If spotted, you might
call your local Police Department and report your findings and
ask them to contact the Brentwood (Contra Costa County) Police
Department. Again, I should be able to identify the auto even
with altered plates and or different paint etc.
In the spirit
of cooperation and being a former Car Club member, I hope I can
impress the fact that in today's world, one can never take
things for granite or feel safe and secure as I did in my
“protected” community.

would be more than happy to send upon request along with your
